Forsaken and Skull Make a Difference
Fire is a rapid, exothermic chemical reaction known as combustion, where fuel combines with oxygen to release heat and light. It is not a solid, liquid, gas, or plasma, but rather a self-sustaining process and a sensory experience of this rapid oxidation. It requires fuel, heat, and oxygen—the "fire triangle"—to start and continue burning.
The fire triangle is an, simple, fundamental model representing the three essential elements needed for fire to ignite and persist: heat, fuel, and oxygen. Removing any one of these components—such as cooling with water (heat), removing combustible materials (fuel), or smothering (oxygen)—will extinguish the fire.
